The Operation Research and Complex Systems Lab (ORCS Lab), part of the Department of Electrical Engineering within the School of Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) was established at the start of 2015 and is currently directed by Prof. Lucas Batista, Prof. Eduardo Carrano, and Prof. Michel Bessani.

The group is made up a number of students and research faculty conducting research into a wide range of problems and applying a diverse set of tools such as Linear Programming, Gradient-based Methods, Evolutionary Computation, Statistical Models and Inference, etc.
